SELAGINELLA KRAUSSIANA 'BROWNII'

I first saw this Selaginella kraussiana 'Brownii' (Synonym: Lycopodium kraussianum 'Brownii'; Family: Selaginellaceae) in Philippines about 4 years back and we bought some back. Amongst the Selaginella species, this is quite a sensitive one and is not easy to grow.

Now there are some clusters of this Selaginella at the Discovery Garden. This is also the area where I saw the Bird's Nest Fungi. How fascinating!

CLOUD FOREST PART 2

This is the well-known Mulan (木兰) or Magnolia flower. Although the trees look straggly, the fragrant flowers particularly the pink ones, which resemble the lotus, completely overshadow the entire tree.

From inside the mountain, some of the arches were planted with numerous pendulous Lycopodium to soften the hard edges and frame the openings.
