With the recent opening of the Gardens by the Bay's Bay South gardens to the public on 29 Jun 12, the secret is finally out.
This is one of my few visits to the Cloud Forest conservatory and I am sure there are lots of photos of the conservatory on the internet. I will let my photos speak for itself. Greeting visitors at the entrance is the highest man-made waterfall in Singapore. Some of these plants are truly amazing and I love the beads of water droplets collecting on the leaves of the conifers right after the misting. The Rhododendrons are also spectacular and look almost like fake plants.
The giant snail sculpture and totem pole add a mysterious allure to the tropical montane forest look.
At the white garden, I have caught sight of 2-3 small birds, which I think are Plovers, for a few weeks now running on the Paspalum turf apparently feeding on the small creatures and insects. They look so adorable.
Lots have happened here within the last couple of days but I won't go into the details.

The first was taken when it started to pour after weeks of apparent drought and the second was taken when the shade screens or fins on the Cloud Forest were activated.
Both scenes looked amazing to me though.

This is the first evening in days that I finally have a real break. Anyway, these are a few night photos on the flower field.
I was particularly amazed by the wall mural, which was in fact a silhouette of the plants in the planter and not a real painted mural, along the staircase. It's so beautiful eh?
My Brugmansia flowered recently and yet when I counted the floral buds this morning, there are still at least 22 of them. It is going to be mini-fiesta for me. It's just amazing.
As for the two pods of the Gloriosa superba, they are considerably dried up and I guess I would have to peel open their pods to scatter the seeds if I intend to germinate them.
I was drawn to this not so new song "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri from the "Twilight -Breaking Dawn" movie. I think it is just beautiful.

I heard 2 old songs recently which I really love back in those days in the 80s.
One is a 1987 song "快乐天堂" (Happy Heaven) by a number of 滾石唱片 well-known singers like Sylvia Chang, Chyi, Emil Chau etc when they were much younger. Then there is the 1985 debut album song "激情过后" (After the Passion) by 张清芳.

I have not been here to Marina Bay Sands for a while now and I didn't know they have a waterlily pond. The flat bed of floating water lilies looked so serene and tranquil. It is definitely a wonderful place to be for relaxation.
