SINGAPORE FLYER

I have never actually been up on the Singapore Flyer but here are photos of the lush landscape within the building structure. I recalled it was designed by Henry Steed, one of my favourite local designers of the tropical landscape.

MARINA BAY SANDS - PART 2

The first thing that one sees on the 57th floor SkyPark of the Marina Bay Sands is the magnificent bird's eye view of the region, particularly the Gardens by the Bay (GB). It was so surreal to see all these up there, as if we are soaring high above in the sky looking down at the smallness of everything that appears so huge to us on the ground.

The grounds of GB looked so raw with its bare soil but the massive structures are all coming up. The 2 clams, as I called it, are gigantic and beautiful and adds on to the durians (The Esplanade) in this area. The super trees are also a sight to behold, especially when one sees it on the ground from the road. The scale and cluster of different heights of super trees are also reminiscent of a natural landscape.

In the background are Marina Barrage, Marina East, East Coast, Tanjong Rhu, Singapore Flyer, Beach Road areas, all rolled into one spectacular panoramic view. And to me, that was the most wonderful thing when you are up there. Nothing beats that!
