CHRISTMAS DECORATION

Every year, I will definitely look forward to see the Christmas decor at Takashimaya, especially the big tree the foyer.

The key colours of their decor this year are blue, silver, white and gold. When I looked closely at the center tree, I was momentarily lost in the universe of numerous planets and stars.

Everywhere was blue except the columns wrapped with red Poinsettia, which reminded me of what they did in previous years.

COLD STORAGE

I saw these terrariums on sale at the Takashimaya Cold Storage recently. The prices shocked me so much although I am sure some people would pay the price for them.

TAKASHIMAYA

These are views taken from the base and up the tall christmas tree at the main foyer of Takashimaya. At least I like it from this angle.

TAKASHIMAYA

This is the christmas decor along Orchard Road at the stretch in front of Takashimaya.

The blue stars have descended on this area and the presents are on two of these trees. But this is no reason to go plucking the presents off the trees.

TAKASHIMAYA

It must be a beary, beary merry christmas at Takashimaya. Just look at the numerous bears outside and inside the entire place. Perhaps the organizer should get the customers to play the game of guessing how many bears they have used for the decor.

There were also several 'stained glass' type of bears on display. But there was one display that was out of place. There was also another one where visitors can play the game of guessing the number of overlapping bears in the display.

Inside the store, there were various sizes of christmas trees formed by the stacking of coloured teddy bears, much like layers of a cake. This idea is not new and they have done it for the last 3 years already. Anyway, these adorable bears are up for adoption come 27-29 Dec at a price of $1 a bear and the proceeds collected would go to the Garden City Fund.

TAKASHIMAYA

Every year, I look forward to the Christmas decor at Takashimaya because they would always have a tall christmas tree in their gallery.

To be frank, I wasn't really bowled over by this year's decor. Somehow, I felt it lacked the special quality that would distinguish it from other equally common displays.
