IPOMOEA OBSCURA (L.) KER GAWL.

This is an Ipomoea weed that I see almost everyday when I go to work. They are growing along the stretch of drainage vegetation beside the roadside drain of Pasir Panjang Road.

The heart-shaped leaves and small white flowers are rather obscure, hence the scientific name Ipomoea obscura. From the Family Convolvulaceae, it has many synonyms including I. demissa, I. insuavis, I. cospicua, I. saltiana and Convolvulus obscurus. The common names include Obscure Morning Glory and Small White Morning Glory.
