CALOTROPIS GIGANTEA

I feel my efforts of planting this Calotropis gigantea is finally paying off. The few clumps have grown considerably and just this single plant is supporting a range of fauna.

The Praying Mantis was very wary of me and kept trying to hide away from me. Just look at the way it was looking at me with those small eyes and raised appendages, supposedly ready to stab me with those spiked forelegs.

Then there were the yellow aphids, which I actually find to be rather cute. Anyway, I am glad that there were numerous Plain Tiger caterpillars, which would support a healthy population of Plain Tiger butterflies, which I frequently see in the garden.
