SOUTHERN RIDGES 4

We reached another part of the trail where we walked on a metal walkway through the secondary forest. This is where we are exposed to numerous tree species that occur in disturbed forested areas.

For those who have a fear of heights, a walk through this elevated walkway can be challenging because it is perched many metres above the ground. It is here that we can find plants such as the Melastoma malabathricum, Dillenia suffruticosa, Hevea brasiliensis (common name: Rubber Tree), Adinandra dumosa (common name: Tiup Tiup), Macaranga etc.
