Soon after Christmas Day came Chinese New Year and soon after that came Valentine's Day.
Since a few years ago, the organizers started putting the chinese zodiac animal in front of Mandarin Hotel using real flowers and it is often a delight to see how they piece together flowers like Chrysanthemums to create the floral display. I remember during the tiger year, the flowers were pieced all the way to the snout, but this year, they stopped short of the head. Maybe it is the economic recession.
Over at Scott's Shopping Centre, the building had a revamp and the basement definitely looked different from what I remember.
