The 2010 "Clash of the Titans" 3D starring the same male lead Sam Worthington as Perseus was a flop, so they made the "Wrath of the Titans" to redeem themselves.
Liam Neeson reprised his role as Zeus, the Father of the Gods, and Ralph Fiennes, after playing the dark lord he-who-must-not be-named Lord Voldermort in the Harry Potter series, was Hades here once again. Initially on opposing sides, they eventually teamed up against their Father Kronos, the lava man.
Andromeda, the princess who was a damsel-in-distress in the former movie and was rescued by Perseus, is Queen in this movie, commands an entire army against the bad guys and is Perseus's new love interest. She was played by another actress Rosamund Pike in this recent movie. Sadly, the very beautiful Gemma Arterton is no longer in this movie.
The storyline is just so so here, and I still wasn't amazed by the sequel. I think there are too many of this kind of epic movies out there and the CGI scenes, such as those depicting the lava man and the battle against the minions are no longer unique. They are the norm and are starting to really bore me now.
