WRATH OF THE TITANS

The 2010 "Clash of the Titans" 3D starring the same male lead Sam Worthington as Perseus was a flop, so they made the "Wrath of the Titans" to redeem themselves.

Liam Neeson reprised his role as Zeus, the Father of the Gods, and Ralph Fiennes, after playing the dark lord he-who-must-not be-named Lord Voldermort in the Harry Potter series, was Hades here once again. Initially on opposing sides, they eventually teamed up against their Father Kronos, the lava man.

Andromeda, the princess who was a damsel-in-distress in the former movie and was rescued by Perseus, is Queen in this movie, commands an entire army against the bad guys and is Perseus's new love interest. She was played by another actress Rosamund Pike in this recent movie. Sadly, the very beautiful Gemma Arterton is no longer in this movie.

The storyline is just so so here, and I still wasn't amazed by the sequel. I think there are too many of this kind of epic movies out there and the CGI scenes, such as those depicting the lava man and the battle against the minions are no longer unique. They are the norm and are starting to really bore me now.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2

Finally, I caught the final installment of the movie. Surprisingly, it surpassed my expectations and the showdown between Voldemort, there is no need to refer to him as he who we shall not speak of because he is totally dead, and Harry Potter was fantastic.

There were lots of casualties, which is not unexpected of such a war between good and evil, and as always good triumphs over evil. What is funny to me is the part where they showed Harry Potter, his friends and their children 19 years later. I thought that scene was hilarious because I cannot picture them being parents to young kids half their age.

Anyway, I cannot stand Voldemort because as the dark lord, his looks and fashion sense were revolting. He should seriously wear a wig, go for a tan, have a nose job (rhinoplasty) and complete makeover in order to attract more followers.

Anyway, I am sure Daniel Radcliffe and gang are probably as glad as me that it all ends here. Good bye Harry, Hermione and Ron. It is time for these young actors and actress to walk out of their shadows and make more grown up movies.
