AUSTRALIA - BRISBANE

Now that you have seen the night photos of the Brisbane and South Bank area, these are some of the day photos.

The Wheel of Brisbane, just looked like a simple wheel, in the day. There was this beautifully constructed Bougainvillea trellis. The architecture of it looked unique. Ah, who would forget their green trishaws and green drivers, who looked so sporty, fit and of course green!

The healthy and dry-loving Kalanchoe thyrsiflora (common name: Paddle, White Lady, Desert Cabbage; Family Crassulaceae) looked like a rose with its multiple folds and red edges. A link is shown below.

The brown building in the following photo after the Kalanchoe is the same Casino Building that was so beautifully lit up at night.

AUSTRALIA - BRISBANE

I love their lighted buildings at night. They looked so different in the day. I guess Singapore is emulating them, and that is why, we too have lighted up buildings, bridges etc.

Anyway, back to this post.

These first few photos were of the Casino building right at the end of the Victoria Bridge beside the Brisbane River. Then there was the Wheel of Brisbane at South Bank Parkland.

The whales hanging from the ceiling were taken at the Art Gallery. They were so lifelike and even the barnacles looked so real. There was this button where you pressed and the whales call in the ocean would echo through the hallway. Cool!

I had to walk along the William Jolly Bridge to Roma Street to reach the hotel I was staying in.
