CHRISTMAS 2015 AND CHINESE NEW YEAR 2016

Maybe the recent Christmas decoration at Bugis Junction and Chinese New Year decoration at Plaza Singapura can give some inspiration for our future displays.

CHINESE NEW YEAR PLANTS

Chinese New Year came and went and I can't believe it has almost been a month.

Anyway, these Cockscomb and Orchid plants outside the Cloud Forest provided a picturesque landscape when it was there. It may be interesting to note that the Cockscomb, also known as Wool Flowers or Brain Celosia, is actually cultivars of Celosia cristata.

CHINATOWN

Chinese New Year came and went away with the bat of an eyelid. Yet, I still feel the fatigue of this period, 2 months into the new year. There is another 10 months to go, which I suspect will happen quickly.

This Chinatown visit almost turned out to be a disaster for me but that is another story. Anyway, the lighted zodiac along the streets had the same design source as those used for the Flower Dome CNY display.

AZALEA

Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day may just be over but this heart-shaped Azalea is still on sale at Ang Mo Kio Flora. It's so pretty, isn't it?

CHINESE NEW YEAR DISPLAY IN FLOWER DOME

The Chinese New Year of the wooden horse is coming soon. How time flies.
