UNITED SQUARE

I have not been to United Square for some time now and it was a great afternoon yesterday that started with a buffer where I downed a plate of black pepper crabs and countless mount-watering fresh oysters.

There is this amazing booth selling miniature clay items such as a chicken rice booth, a wanton noodle booth, a traditional chinese medicinal hall, slipper orchids etc, that cost a mere dollars to a few hundred dollars. The clay pieces are outstandingly fantastic and are so exquisitely crafted to remind me of the many long forgotten fixtures of our cityscape and the wonderful plants.

Booth selling Christmas items

These are the nicest Christmas socks I have seen!

These are such handsome stags!

Can anyone believe these are miniature clay models?

ARISTOLOCHIA

This Aristolochia is blooming profusely again and the loss of leaves may be the reason why the flowers are all appearing on the thick shriveled looking crinkled stems.

It is simply amazing how the maroon unique flowers look like and the unopened ones remind me of the claws of a crab.

The unopened flowers look like a pair of crab's claw.

CRAB

I saw this crappy, oops I mean crabby, advertisement display mounted on one of the bus stop advertisement panels. I saw one on a giant mosquito before on the same type of panel and that was just amazing. However, I was on the bus, otherwise I would have snapped photos of it for keepsake.
