DEAD

This dead bird looked like a Waterhen and I saw it on one of those mornings on my way to work. Poor thing. It looked like it just died not long ago.

LITTLE SPARROWdead,

As I was walking Sandy yesterday, I saw the carcass of this dead sparrow, with its sunken eye socket. It must have been dead for a while. The poor little fella.

WALK

I was walking Sandy on Sunday morning when I spotted some strange object on this footpath. To my horror, I discovered it was a dead pigeon when I moved in for a closer look.

What happened to it, I wondered? Why was it lying dead in the middle of a footpath? Did it just drop out of the sky? The fact that it looked rather pristine meant that it probably died recently. What a poor thing! I dared not touch it for fear that it was the bird flu outbreak.

PIGEON

I hate it that I cannot send it my post through my iPhone anymore because I reached the photo limit. I didn't know about this limitation until recently when I encountered problems posting entries using my phone.


Anyway, two nights ago, I saw this pigeon lying on the grass and footpath verge with a few feathers around it. Apparently, it was dead and its eyes were wide opened.


How did it die? Was it poisoned? I guess I would never know. Rest in peace, my little feathered friend.

DEATH

Yes, when I went back the next day, I realized that the Common Birdwing pupa was dead. Just look at the decapitated carcass left on the Aristolochia acuminata.

In addition, the Common Rose pupa was nowhere to be seen.

What was obvious was that some pruning was done and some of the branches were removed. In the process, the unsuspecting worker might have ripped the Common Birdwing pupa into two and remove the Common Rose pupa without their knowledge.

Sigh, it was a sad day.
