This corner with the dinosaur relic bone, Olea europaea (Common Name: Olive Tree) tree and Cycads has a new lease of life recently and in my opinion, is looking better than before with the Adenium obesum (Common Name: Desert Rose), Euphorbia geroldii (Common Name: Thornless Euphorbia) and Gomphrena globosa (Common Name: Bachelor's Button).
Known by the Common Name Red Spurge, Mexican Shrubby Spurge, Carribean Copper Plant, this is one interesting small tree with maroon leaves and small cream flowers.
These Poinsettias have been around since the beginning of the year and they are still looking relatively good, I must say. Many plants from this Family Euphorbiaceae are really strikingly beautiful, each with it's own merit.
It was a pleasant surprise for me to see this Euphorbia pulcherrima, planted in early January last year after the 2012 Christmas, produce new leaf bracts that are partially red. Even the floral buds are appearing.
Who would have guessed that this shrub with beautiful foliage is the Christmas Poinsettia with the usual colourful bracts? These were leftover plants from the last Christmas.
