These Perfume Trees at Satay by the Bay flowered recently.

FAGRAEA FRAGRANS

These photos were taken in a light drizzle at the Seah Im Food Centre and the Tembusu trees along the Telok Blangah Road were still flowering.

BEAUMONTIA JERDONIANA

These photos were taken over a period of time from 9 - 19 September. The photos show the gradual development of the floral buds to the opened white flowers, which somehow reminded me remotely of the flowers of Fagraea ceilanica (common name: Perfume Flower Tree; Family: Loganiaceae). Does this look like the feet of a giant monster or dinosaur? It did remind me of one when I took this photo.

Anyway, it is the huge buttress of the common Tembusu Tree (Family: Loganiaceae), firmly anchored into the ground.
