MARINA BAY SANDS & GARDENS BY THE BAY

It is not often that I get to see the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) from this angle. And with the Gardens By The Bay (GB) project, the entire area has gone through a complete facelift, and looks significantly different from when I was managing the site. These are exciting times.

GARDENS BY THE BAY

We were on the way to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) and I took these photos of the super trees at the upcoming Gardens by the Bay (GB). This is like a prelude to the garden and its presence is definitely felt by all drivers who ply along the East Coast Parkway (ECP) with the erection of these super trees and construction of a pedestrian garden bridge linking the garden to the MBS area.

These are the 2 venues for the upcoming 20th World Orchid Conference 2011 (WOC) in Nov hosted in Singapore for the first time. Come Nov 2011 and visitors would be able to have a first glimpse of and entry to GB at its Flower Dome.

Links to GB and WOC are shown below:

MODEL OF GARDENS BY THE BAY

This is the model of Gardens by the Bay which is often referred to as GB.

There is something about models that give life to an otherwise flat proposed plan.

From this model, the 2 conservatories and the super-trees stood out the most.

SINGAPORE GARDEN FESTIVAL 10

This is the information counter where you go for information regarding the SGF 10 event.

With its long, extending and far-reaching tentacles, the SGF 10 reached out to a huge audience of visitors and was another huge success after 3 shows since Dec 07.

Good bye, SGF 10. Good bye, Suntec City. After hosting 3 shows, it is time for you to relinquish your obligation. I look forward to the next show at the Gardens by the Bay (GB) event grounds.
