CONTRAST

I love the contrast in the big leaves of the Musa against the Costus woodsonii in the mid ground, Heliconia indica and dark green palm fronds in the background. 

WALK AROUND SINGAPORE BOTANIC GARDENS

We were having a walk around the Singapore Botanic Gardens when I spotted a Rustic butterfly, which is supposed to be rare.

I also managed to take some photos of some beautiful plants including the pink Etlingera elatior (Common Name: Torch Ginger), Elaeocarpus angustifolia, Kopsia singapurensis, unknown Heliconia and Costus, Scaphium macropodum, Brachychiton acerifolius.

On a separate note, one of the key characteristics of the Dipterocarpaceae Family is the presence of interpetiolar stipules on the young leaves.

There were also other interesting fauna, such as a spider and lizard, captured on my camera.
