The sky was turning dark and it started to drizzle lightly. Fortunately, I made an effort to walk faster and managed to catch the van back to the office in one piece. Thank goodness!!

NERIUM OLEANDER

I bought this uncommon white-flowered Oleander (Family: Apocynaceae) with a yellow throat from Thailand in Jan 08 and planted it out at the Irrigation Pond.

I was glad it was still around and doing fine. Although slow growing, at least it is flowering well.

XANTHOSTEMON CHRYSANTHUS (VARIEGATED)

I am shocked that I have not posted any photos of the flowers of the Xanthostemon chrysanthus (common name: Golden Penda; Family: Myrtaceae). The only reason that I can think of is because it is so common that I failed to talk about it.

So far, I posted twice about the less common and red flower Xanthostemon youngii.

This is in fact an uncommon variegated version of the Golden Penda. However, it is so slow growing. I planted seven of them at the Golden Garden amidst the variegated Nerium oleander(common name: Oleander) from the Apocynaceae Family. A former contractor worker pruned off the apical shoot of one of the variegated plants, thinking it was the Oleander.
