KHOO TECK PUAT HOSPITAL - PART 2

I saw the Plain Tiger resting on the Scirpus and took its photo. The hospital has done an amazing job of planting butter attracting plants into the landscape.

They have masses of the Caesalpinia pulcherrima, which is a nectar plant for the adult butterflies. They also have the two host plants of the Plain Tiger - Calotropis gigantea (common name: Crown Flower) and Asclepias curassavica (common name: Blood Flower), so I am sure the Plain Tiger is here to stay as evident by the few caterpillars that I saw on the leaves of the former.

FLOATING PLATFORM

The floating platform that was put up earlier was replaced by this interesting one with pots supported on the styrofoam. The array of plants include the Thalia, Sarracenia and Scirpus. I suppose this is still in the trial stage.
