MALEFICENT

It was almost like so long ago since I watched this movie.

Produced by Angelina Jolie and starring her and her daughter, it was an interesting adaptation of the sleeping beauty fairy tale until I realized it was just a movie about her magnificence, not maleficence. She changed the notion of how a fairy looks like and eventually, the ending turned out different from what we used to know.

So did I enjoy it? Yes, the part where her wings were cut off by her lover and she woke up in extreme agony and howled in pain was the best, in my most humble opinion.

DISNEY DREAM PORTRAITS

I saw the top portrait of David Beckham before and I saw the whole series yesterday and it was refreshingly interesting.

Taken by the renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, her photos feature a number of celebrities as famous Walt Disney cartoon characters. It is wonderful to put a real face to these characters for once as it makes them more human and I can identify better with them. They brought a smile to my face.

I don't quite know what character David Beckham represents but the rest are as follows:

1. Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) - Rachel Weisz
2. Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and merman - Julianne Moore and Michael Phelps
3. Cinderella (Cinderella) - Scarlett Johansson
4. Prince and Sleeping Beauty (Sleeping Beauty) - Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens
5. Beast and Belle (Beauty and the Beast) - Jeff Bridges and Penelope Cruz
6. Princess Jasmine and Aladdin (Aladdin) - Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony
7. Pocahontas (Pocahontas) - Jessica Biel
8. Evil Queen and Mirror Spirit (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) - Olivia Wilde and Alec Baldwin
9. Ursula (The Little Mermaid) - Queen Latifah
10. Genie (Aladdin) - Whoopi Goldberg
