SKYLINE PROMENADE

The strip of planting along the Skyline Promenade is fantastic for planting sun- and heat-loving plants such as the Bougainvillea, Tecoma capensis (Synonym: Tecomaria capensis), Russelia equisetiformis. 

One of my additions include the purple flower, silver leaved Leucophyllum frutescens (Common Name: Barometer Bush, Ash Plant), which I would add to the Discovery Garden slope.

BAY EAST

These Cape Honeysuckle (scientific name: Tecoma capensis; synonym: Tecomaria capensis) shrubs really love the dry spell followed by rain. Just months ago, it was looking stunning and now it has put up another spectacular display.


This is also the site where there is a population of Tawny Coster butterflies. It is just amazing!

BLUE PANSY

I don't even see the Blue Pansy so often at HortPark. This place is really amazing because I get to see them from time to time.

I hope this female finds a mate and seek out its host plants to lay its eggs. By the way, it was perched on the Tecoma capensis (synonym: Tecomaria capensis; common name: Cape Honeysuckle).

EAST

The promenade is planted with lots of colourful shrubs such as the following:

• Lantana camara cultivars
• Bougainvillea cultivars
• Russelia equisetiformis cultivars
• Tecoma capensis cultivars 

What a spectacular display of colours!
