OLD TOWN COFFEE

I was in Sarawak in March and saw the Old Town Coffee branch at the hotel I was staying in but did not find the time to try it out.

Recently, at Orchard Cineleisure, I went for a change from Toastbox and tried out this combo of toasted bread, eggs and tea. After trying it out, I wasn't bowled over by it but I was certainly taken aback by the higher price.

TOASTBOX

Other than the pristine white and clean interior, the plant decoration is one of the reasons I really like to eat and drink there. Just look at the beautifully arranged tabletop plant displays.

Other than the fake Hydrangea, the rest of the plants are real and amazingly healthy looking. The combination of Fittonia, Peperomia scandens and an unknown green plant in the light brown basket container is brilliant. The other pair of Syngonium and Ficus pumila 'Sonny' is simple but clean.

I don't know how much effort they put into their plant decoration and maintenance and whether they replace the plants regularly but how can I not like an establishment which takes such good care of its plants?

TOASTBOX

I have been going to ToastBox for its tea recently. Like I posted before, I really like its internal decor. It is so white and clean.

TOASTBOX

I eat at Toastbox and Ya Kun frequently these days. In terms of decor, I prefer the one at Toastbox, which is mainly white and should I say country theme? And they have real plants too. It's cool!

TOASTBOX

I saw this poor thing tugged away under a shady corner of a shelf at the Toastbox outlet behind Orchard Cineleisure. So I put it out in a brighter area on the table where it deserved.

TOASTBOX

Recently, I went for more than just the kaya toast at ToastBox. I tried out the otak toast which I didn't like and the Melaka coffee which was mixed with black sugar.
