LORONG HALUS WETLAND & PUNGGOL PROMENADE

I found some time to visit the Lorong Halus Wetland and a section of the Punggol Promenade before its recent official opening.

The former is a project by PUB and the latter by URA. Both are projects that demonstrated the coordinated efforts to green up our waterways and together with NParks yet to be opened Punggol Waterway provide a splendid route along the waterfront that connects to the Serangoon Park Connector and Punggol Park.

I must say the maroon bridge is rather unique and is an interesting landmark across the river.

In addition, I would never miss out on some of the weeds e.g. Mimosa, Clitoria, Crotalaria, that I see at these places which give it a more unique character.

It has been a busy few weeks and I should be free to start posting more stuff in a week's time.

Anyway, looking at these photos, I almost couldn't remember where these were taken until I saw the bridge across the pond. I will be back there next week.

At the Yishun pond, there seemed to be some ongoing works and a new tower seemed to be built.

GARDEN

A few more days and visitors would be able to take in this beautiful view when they cross the dragonfly bridge.

VIVOCITY

This is the first Christmas tree I see this year. Christmas decor is coming up everywhere and this simple feature cannot be missed on the rooftop garden of the shopping centre.

CONSTRUCTION

There is so much construction here at the Marina Bay area. The one that towered above the rest now is the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) building.

SKYLINE

On my way back to the Marina Bay MRT from my collection of the Mac MS Office at the Marina Bay Sands EpiCentre outlet, I took these fantastic photos of the night view. Isn't it beautiful?

WEEDS

These are some interesting weeds growing in the wet soils beside the kidney pond.

LIZARD

There are lots of these lizards amongst the bromeliads. I suppose they have an abundant supply of food here. So, how are you doing, Liz?

RED RUBY

I ordered this dessert but after they served colleagues some drinks, the waiter told me they ran out of ice. I insisted on having this and in the end, they served it to you in blended ice. So how is it possible? I don't get it.

NIGHT

This night photo was taken at the Marina Bay residences area. It seems buzzing with activities.

UNKNOWN

I wonder what plant is this? Is it from the Melastomataceae Family? The small pinkish flowers remind me remotely of Grewia.

PEPPEROMIA

This is one beautiful foliage plant sold in Singapore within these last year. It does not like lots of water, especially if watered from the top, and once again, I killed a pot already.

FOUNTAIN

This is the kind of spray fountain that I want at the Visitor's Centre. Why is it so hard for them to get it right?

BUBBLE TEA

We tried out the bubble tea from a new store at Suntec. Well, the taro tea and rose tea are not as nice as the ones from Gong Cha.

BUTTERFLIES

When we went underground to explore the new Marina Link, we saw this amazing display of metallic white cutout butterflies at the 鼎太丰 outlet. It's so beautiful and I wish I could take a couple home.

CITY SKYLINE

These are more photos of the Marina Bay city skyline taken from promenade.
