The Hanguana malayana is sending out its offshoots further into the water. The Hydrocotyle vulgaris on the rock face is reaching down into the water, creating a beautiful reflection in the water. The Cyrtosperma johnstonii is enjoying its new environment and the Acrostichum aureum growing on the terrestrial soil is happy as evident by the brilliantly orangey-red new fronds.

GOLDEN GARDEN - POND
The pond is perpetually filled to the brim with water because of the high water table and this supports the growing of floating and submergent aquatic plants. Just look at the attached photos to see how well the Pistia stratiotes (common name: Water Lettuce; Family: Araceae), Cyrtosperma johnstonii (Family: Araceae) and other plants are growing here.

WATER FEATURE

The Amherstia nobilis (common name: Pride of Burma) from the Fabaceae Family in the top photo looked so pretty and I cannot wait for it to flower.
In the 2nd photo, the prickly brown leaved aroid Cyrtosperma johnstonii from the Araceae Family was the highlight. There are also some in HortPark.
The flowering Pitcairnia flammea from the Bromeliaceae Family in the 3rd photo is right in the middle of it all.
