WATER FEATURE

I posted about this water feature a few times already, but I always couldn't help going back to posting more photos of the plants as the landscape becomes more established.

The Hanguana malayana is sending out its offshoots further into the water. The Hydrocotyle vulgaris on the rock face is reaching down into the water, creating a beautiful reflection in the water. The Cyrtosperma johnstonii is enjoying its new environment and the Acrostichum aureum growing on the terrestrial soil is happy as evident by the brilliantly orangey-red new fronds.

WATER GARDEN

The lava stone planters were replaced by this small floating platform of plants, consisting mainly of Cyperus alternifolius (common name: Umbrella Papyrus, Umbrella Sedge, Umbrella Palm; Family: Cyperaceae) and Hydrocotyle vulgaris (common name: Water Pennywort; Family: Apiaceae / Umbelliferae).

The school of Blood Parrot Fish must all be huddled together to shield themselves from the scorching rays of the sun.
