NEIGHBOURHOOD GARDEN

I have not been to this area of the neighbourhood until recently and my oh my. The uncle has expanded his garden and he has planted many more varieties of Hibiscus and other plants.

I chatted with him and he told me that the Town Council was happy with his work and bought more plants for him to plant up.

the Town Council did a terrible job of lifting the crown of this beloved Sterculia

a year ago, they lifted the crowns of these Juniperus trees

I am pretty sure they will cite safety as the reason

ROSE AND ABELMOSCHUS

this is one beautiful English standard rose
This standard rose has small orange flowers that look quite attractive.

Then there is the Abelmoschus moschatus (Synonym: Hibiscus abelmoschus; Common Name: Musk Mallow; Family: Malvaceae) with typical Hibiscus-like flowers.

HIBISCUS ROSA-SINENSIS 'COOPERI'

These Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Cooperi" which I had been growing for some time now started to flower recently. Although the flowering wasn't anything to shout about, I was still pleasantly thrilled by the beautiful red flowers contrasted against a variegated white background.

HIBISCUS

I had a field day photographing various Hibiscus flowers with shades of yellow through chrome yellow to vermilion. These shrubs are simply amazing!

HIBISCUS

This garden is planted with lots of Hibiscus shrubs, with countless cultivars all over the place. This is but one of them with sweet looking flowers.

PLANT LOVER

I came across this roadside planting and I'm pretty sure the owner loves colourful flowering plants, as evident by the array of shrubs. There is also an orange double-petaled Hibiscus too. I am impressed.

The owner also has a number of figurines, such as dwarfs and a rabbit, which were displayed prominently on her garden's window.
