TREES

a tree at the Supertree Grove
The trees in the gardens have grown much for the last couple of years.

PRINCESS

My sweet little Princess Sandy has nightmares quite frequently. When she is having it, she will whimper in her sleep. I wonder what she dreams of.

OTTERS CROSSING

It is now a relatively common sight to see otters at Gardens by the Bay. I had the chance to see another family a couple of weeks ago at the Satay by the Bay.

All cyclists, pedestrians etc literally stopped in their tracks watch them as they sauntered across the pathway, oblivious to all the human traffic in the area, and two of them even went over to the Zoysia and rolled on it as if it was a bed.

DOWNTOWN LINE 2 PREVIEW ON 5 DEC 15

I attended the preview of the Downtown Line 2 stations on 5 Dec 15 and traveled to some of the stations from Rochor station to Beauty World and skipped the rest. Well, the new line will definitely make travelling easier for commuters.

SATAY BY THE BAY

cycads and Bachelor's Buttons
This corner with the dinosaur relic bone, Olea europaea (Common Name: Olive Tree) tree and Cycads has a new lease of life recently and in my opinion, is looking better than before with the Adenium obesum (Common Name: Desert Rose), Euphorbia geroldii (Common Name: Thornless Euphorbia) and Gomphrena globosa (Common Name: Bachelor's Button).

EUPHORBIA COTINIFOLIA

Known by the Common Name Red Spurge, Mexican Shrubby Spurge, Carribean Copper Plant, this is one interesting small tree with maroon leaves and small cream flowers.

TREE DUCKS

I love taking photos of these subjects, which are frequently found visiting the kidney pond.

TIBOUCHINA 'COOL BABY'

I saw this white flower purple stamens Tibouchina in one of the Tasmania plant nurseries and I guess it really intrigued me. Too bad we don't have this locally.
