The Mimosa pudica is a fast-growing rampant weed that colonises most areas and is often removed from our lawns here. However, elsewhere it is sometimes grown as an indoor plant.Although it is not a very aesthetic plant, I have to admit it is one of the most interesting plants. I mean, how many other species of plants do we know that reacts to the touch on its leaves by immediately folding it up? The 3rd and 4th photos show 2 open and folded leaves of the plant before and immediately after I touched them.
