This Tamarind tree from the Fabaceae (Leguminosae) Family was transplanted twice - once from its original habitat to HortPark's main entrance and again to this second location at Floral Stitches.Fortunately, it not only survived the transplanting but it recovered pretty well for a tree of this size and age. However, it has yet to flower or produce the legumes or edible and sour tamarind fruits used in savouring dishes.
