NURSERY HOLDING AREA

This part of the Nursery Holding Area was planted just before the Clean and Green 2009. Most of the plants on the slope have grown so well. One of my favourites in this area is the slightly variegated Sanchezia nobilis.

On the parapet wall, the new team tried to plant some groundcovers e.g.Acalypha reptans (synonym: A. pendula, A. chamaedrifolia, A. repens; Family: Euphorbiaceae),Polygonum capitatum (synonym:Persicaria capitata; common name: Pinkhead Smartweed, Japanese Knotweed; Family: Polygonaceae), to soften the concrete structure.
