STERCULIA CORDATA

This tree shed it's crown of leaves at the height of the hot weather recently but I failed to capture it's photos. Just barely a week or two later, all the new leaves burst forth from the branches to give a semi-dense crown. It's amazing how plants can react so quickly towards extreme environmental stimuli.
