MOTH CATERPILLAR

I posted photos of this moth caterpillar before and this is the second encounter for me.

With the bright yellow colour and long body bristles, it is impossible to miss it on the plant. Surely the predator would see it too, so I reckon it must be a nasty creature that wards off its predator with its blatant advertisement. I wasn't going to handle it with my naked hands though but when I used something to touch it, the black body part opened wider. When left alone, the area closed up and the entire caterpillar just appeared yellow. I am not sure what the black part does but maybe it emits a foul smell like the Lime Butterfly caterpillar?
