LONICERA

I planted this Lonicera at HortPark's Car Park Garden recently and since then, I was awestruck by it.

Frankly, I have seen this plant on several occasions before but I didn't fall in love with it then. It slowly grew on me and I took these photos on 26 Jan 10.

I love it so much that I recently added that as a new collection to my home plants. Don't you agree that the pinkish-peach coloured petals and protruding stamens with prominent anthers just look so pretty? The underside of the leaves are slightly silverish, so all-in-all it is an interesting plant.

The other more common Lonicera japonica with white-yellow flowers and has medicinal properties is less showy.
