DIANELLA ENSIFOLIA

This is a native plant and is sometimes referred by the common names Umbrella Dracaena, Cerulean Flax-Lily.

Interestingly, the Family Xanthorrhoeaceae or Hemerocallidaceae which the plant belongs to are obscure to me. Anyway, the flowers and its fruits are rather unusual.

The lily-liked plant has small yellowish floral buds that opened up to review white petals. After pollination, round blue berries are produced, the colour of which is uncommon for a fruit.

In fact, the variegated plants are even more attractive.
