EUGENIA OLEINA

This is a very common tree planted as a hedge because of its vibrantly colourful orangey brown new leaf flushes. But here was the tree taken as an individual specimen. From the Myrtaceae Family, its synonyms include Syzygium myrtifolia and S. paniculatum.

Notice how tall the tree and big the crown is compared to the people walking underneath it. As a hedge plant, we usually hardly keep it more than 3 m tall.
