YOG TORCH

It is not often that I see the trunks of these Phoenix sylvestris palms at the Singapore Botanic Garden's Visitor's Centre adorned with orchids. But this was exactly what happened on Friday the 13th Aug 10.

Other than the usual ferns, the trunks were draped with red flowered Renanthera orchids, purple flowered Dendrobium orchids etc on that day because the YOG torch was passing through SBG.

At about 4:30 pm, amidst the ra-ra, SBG's resident hunk carried the torch and within seconds, he was gone and was headed for the Botany Centre direction. The cheering and commotion ended as quickly as it began.
