This Epidendrum orchid photo was similarly taken on 4 Dec 08 at the Home Garden. The orange blossoms against a green backdrop immediately captured my attention then.This plant is still there today, next to a beautiful Curcuma which I would talked about some other time. When not in bloom, it blends into the green surroundings.
Though common, it is one of my favourite orchids but I always fail to keep them happy at home. I remember I had a nice compact potted one from Thailand but it died in my hands over a matter of months. What a pity!
