I grew this Musa laterita at the outdoor Butterfly Garden and it flowered recently.The vibrant, brick red bracts are so attractive and the specific epithet of this banana was named after this. The actual small yellowish flowers are prominently coloured and one could see the base of it that would eventually grow into the fruit.
