ELAEOCARPUS GRANDIFLORUS

I chose to plant this beautiful tree Elaeocarpus grandiflorus (synonym: E. augustifolius, E. bancroftii; common name: Fairy Petticoat, Fringe Bells, Lily of the Valley; Family: Elaeocarpaceae) at the entrance to the Home Garden because I want visitors to be able to appreciate the frilled white petals and red sepals that make up the flowers. When it is in bud, the clusters of red are already an attraction.

In fact, the uncommon Elaeocarpus trees have such typical frilled bell flowers that are just amazing to look at. 2 links on this tree are shown below:
