PLEIOCARPA MUTICA

Near the Phaleria clerodendron at Floral Walk are 2 Pleiocarpa mutica (common name: Kanwene; Family: Apocynaceae) shrubs. If one does not look carefully, it is easy to miss the flowers hidden by the dark green leaves.

There are actually quite a few similarities between the 2 plant species. From the same family, they both have cauliflorus white flowers with an amazingly overpowering fragrance.

Although less conspicuous than the former tree, it is still a great plant to have in a fragrant garden. A link on this plant is attached below:
