STERCULIA RUBIGINOSA VENT.

I cannot get even of Sterculias. This Rusty Sterculia from the Sterculiaceae Family at HortPark's Flora Stitches flowered recently with the cool weather.

The many bundles of pinkish small unopened flowers, resembling lanterns, are so alluring to look at. Under the rain, they are unable to withstand the heavy beating and would gather below the tree to form a nice collection of beads. When the flowers are fully opened, they resemble small red stars with a white furry margin. If this is not beautiful, then I don't know what is.
