BAUHINIA

I seemed to be posting variegated plants one after another. It is not deliberate though.

This was a variegated Bauhinia tree that I planted in the same garden as the Kapok. We still do not know the identity because we do not have information on its flowers.

The small tree just bloomed recently but I guess by the time I got to the flowers, it was too late as I only managed to get this miserable photo of a pink fading flower. I will definitely check out this tree sometime soon since new floral buds were forming.

By the way, the almost white variegated young leaves seem to lose its variegation and revert to green as the leaves age. I guess the variegation is not very stable in this species or cultivar, compared to the variegated Kapok.
