These are the developing female cones of the Cycas rumphii (common name: Ceylon Sago, False Sago; Family: Cycadaceae). The photos were taken from the Singapore Botanic Gardens' Visitor's Center.There were also smaller offsets growing on the main trunk of the cycad and these could be removed and planted up as separate individual specimens.
