I love Calliandras (the Powder Puffs) from the Fabaceae (Leguminosae) Family and I think this could be Calliandra hematocephala or surinamensis. The inflorescence head is kind of cute with its tight compact flowers.

The Clerodendrum quadriloculare (common name: Starburst Bush, Shooting Star, Fireworks Flower; synonym: Ligustrum quadriloculare) from the Verbenaceae Family is doing so well as evident by the numerous young plants growing around it. And yes, it is one of my favourite plants that I purchased from Thailand. I cannot wait till it flowers. Then the common names would come to life!
