CAT'S CLAW VINE

The Macfadyena unguis-cati growing on the trellis at Hill Walk of the Display Plot was flowering nicely as seen on this photo taken on 8 Mar 10.

Ever wonder why it is called Cat's Claw? Apparently, this vine has hooks that help it secure itself onto structures to climb on. And these hooks remind one of the claws of the cat, hence it was named as such.
