MITREPHORA TEYSMANNII

I was first introduced to this plant by a colleague. I liked the interesting flowers and so planted them behind the existing Community-in-Bloom (CIB) plot.

Subsequently, I regretted planting it in such an obscure location because its beauty was to a certain extent hidden from public view, since it was not planted along the footpath.

Recently, a colleague confirmed the identity of this tree as Mitrephora. In fact, on a recent trip to Thailand, I bought a few more different coloured flower Mitrephora from Chatuchak.

Hopefully with time, I would be able to plant them out.
