KOPSIA SINGAPURENSIS

I have been looking for this plant for a long time, not because it is very showy or what but rather because it is native and hard to come by.

Unlike the pink Kopsia fruticosa that I prefer and planted in many areas within HortPark, this one has white flowers with a prominent red eye. The leaves appear to be slightly different, so I am not really sure if this is a species or variety or whether it is truly native to Singapore. I saw this at FRIM last Nov 09 when we went on a 3-days trip to Malaysia.

Anyway, soon we will have two of them for HortPark.

The photos were also taken on 1 Mar 10.
