When I was fast asleep in the wee hours of the morning of 17 Jul 10, there was another flash flood in Singapore. It was reported in today's The New Paper. Apparently, the rain was heaviest between 4:40 - 6:40 am.Last month for a few days in June, the daily rainfall exceeded the monthly average in years. And now in July, about 180 mm of rain descended upon the central and eastern parts of Singapore yesterday morning in a single day, making it higher than the average monthly rainfall of 158.3 mm for the entire month of July once again.
Something has definitely changed in the climate but I guess we would not know the full impact right now. More reports on the rain can be found in the link below:
