MELALEUCA CAJUPUTI

These few Melaleuca cajuputi trees (synonym: M. leucodendron, common name: Paper Bark Tree) from the Myrtaceae Family were flowering profusely and the extended stamens give the inflorescences a bottle-brush appearance.

They were common in the past but were seldom planted these days.

In the second photo, the leaves and flowers contrasted sharply with the coloured leaves of the Tristaniopsis whiteana in the background.
